Susanne McIntyre, Ph.D.
Psychotherapy and Evaluations for Children and Adolescents
Dr. Susanne McIntyre obtained a Ph.D. in child-clinical and school psychology from New York University in 1996. She received additional training in psychotherapy with children and adolescents through the Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy which she completed in 2005. She was trained at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City with an emphasis on neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents with a wide range of learning, emotional, and psychiatric disorders. She worked for ten years as a school psychologist in special education and mainstream settings from the prekindergarten to the middle school level. More recently, Dr. McIntyre performed diagnostic evaluations at The Soifer Center for Child Development and Learning. Other areas in which she has received additional training include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT Intensive Training), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, functional behavioral analysis, and children’s yoga. Currently, Dr. McIntyre is in private practice in Ardsley, NY, and works part-time at the Pace University Counseling Center in Pleasantville, NY.
