Dr. Susanne McIntyre obtained a Ph.D. in child-clinical and school psychology from New York University in 1996. She received additional training in psychotherapy with children and adolescents through the Westchester Center for the Study of Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy which she completed in 2005. She was trained at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City with an emphasis on neuropsychological assessment of children and adolescents with a wide range of learning, emotional, and psychiatric disorders. She worked for ten years as a school psychologist in special education and mainstream settings gaining much experience in the assessment and treatment of dyslexia, ADHD, and autism-spectrum disorders. More recently, Dr. McIntyre performed diagnostic evaluations at The Soifer Center for Child Development and Learning. Other areas in which she has received additional training include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT Intensive Training), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, functional behavioral analysis, and children’s yoga. Currently, Dr. McIntyre is in private practice offering psychotherapy and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents in Ardsley, NY.
